Laura was born and raised in Moultrie, Georgia. She attended the University of Georgia and earned a BBA in Risk Management and Insurance in 1994, and then she pursued a Masters of Education degree at UGA in Communication Sciences and Disorders and graduated in June 1998. She was excited about the opportunity to join Colquitt Regional Medical Center’s Speech Pathology team immediately upon graduating from UGA.
She serves both the pediatric and adult populations with speech, language and swallowing disorders in the acute care, outpatient, home and daycare settings. While she loves the diversity of her field and the patients she serves, her passion is working with the pediatric special needs population with developmental, neurological and feeding and swallowing disorders.
Laura holds national certification for clinical competence by the American Speech Language Hearing Association and is licensed by the professional licensing board in Georgia.
